• GLASS || Traditional polyhedral alcohol lamp with 120ml glass tank, nickel-plated cap and fiber wick – Polyhedral features allows for multiple angles
• ETHYL ALCOHOL || Works by soaking ethyl alcohol up the wick and lighting with a match or lighter
• COOL FLAME || Used to produce an open flame – Produces a cooler flame than a propane or butane burner
• SAFE || Generally preferred over Bunsen burners for safety purposes as the flame produced is limited in height and size – Produced flame has a lower temperature than other burner types – Flame remains sufficient for performing standard molecular biology and sterilization procedures
• HOW TO || Use with denatured alcohol as fuel (with alcohol content of 95% or higher) – Trim wick to no more than 2cm – Use under the supervision of an adult – Never leave flame unattended
