The fissile property of slate is retained, but has attained a glossy sheen and soapy feel more indicative of metamorphic material. Ideal for identification & classification exercises. Demonstrates characteristic metamorphic properties, such as a glossy sheen and dense, foliated minerals.
While each specimen will vary slightly in shape, size and color, it will measure approximately 1″ in length. Each is individually packaged, labeled & barcoded for easy identification and storage.
